BarterQuest Expands Management Team: Names Bell Laboratories Veteran as Director of Engineering
New Director of Engineering brings over 20 years experience in R&D management
NEW YORK, 29 September 2008 – BarterQuest, a consumer trading platform that supports the cashless exchange of goods, services and the use of real estate, announced today Laurence Ruedisueli has been named Director of Engineering. Ruedisueli will be responsible for establishing the technical strategy for BarterQuest system development, testing and deployment.
“We are excited Larry has decided to join the BarterQuest team,” said President Dr. Paul Bocheck. “His more than 20 years of experience in managing R&D projects will be extremely beneficial for BarterQuest during its period of initial growth. I have worked with Larry in the past and know the value he will bring to the company. Larry will be instrumental in leading the continuing development of our proprietary technology.”

Ruedisueli joins BarterQuest from Lightspeed Audio Labs, a start-up company that created a system and website (www.jamnow.com) which allows its users to participate as fans and performers in online collaborative music. Ruedisueli was responsible for designing and writing code for the C- based client application (for Windows and Mac) and the associated Linux server application. Prior to joining Lightspeed Audio Labs he was a Principle Technical Staff Member for AT&T laboratories, where he completed projects including network applications, signal processing, interactive devices, GUI applications and language design work.
